You may not think a throw pillow can do much when decorating but it can change everything about the look of a room. It's a inexpensive and powerful way of changing from autumn to spring to summer to Christmas. You can set a 4th of July theme easily for a party or glitter things up for New Years.
If you have mostly neutrals and brown tones, oranges and gold will give an autumn look.
A cool blue green against tans and browns will give you the feel of a summer retreat.
Black and white will give off a modern sleek look.
Mix solids and patterns in the same hues to give depth.
I'm going to go with the blues this time.
